IPowerWeb Review

February 26th, 2012 by George

IPowerWeb calls themselves “The Power behind eBusiness”. They are the world’s leading eBusiness website Hosting provider. They focus on Internet based end-to-end solutions that enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SME’s) to build, promote, manage and profit from their online presence. The goal of IPowerWeb is to innovate and provide advanced, quality products and solutions, along with the industry’s leading customer service and support, all for an affordable price.

Price Value

IPowerWeb offers 10 GB of web space, 250 GB of bandwidth, 2,500 POP e-mail accounts, dynamic content, marketing package, e-commerce capabilities and more all for $7.95 per month.

Reliability

After some research, we have found that IPowerWeb has an above average uptime percentage. They make use of enterprise level Hewlett-Packard servers that are connected to a Dual redundant OC-48 connection on diverse backbones. They also make use of power backup and have a Cisco powered network.

Control Panel

IPowerWeb offers its customers the Plesk control panel developed by SWSoft. This is a powerful control panel and can control all aspects of your web hosting account.

Customer Service

IPowerWeb offers 24/7 technical support via telephone and e-mail helpdesk. They also have an extensive support area via their “Help Center”. They have dramatically increased the level of customer support that their provide to their customers.

User Reviews

Mark: Has iPowerWeb reformed recently? A year ago, I signed up with them to host a blog. My blog was down rather often, sometimes for many hours. Tech support was not helpful; in fect, it was condescending. After a couple of months, I abandoned iPowerWeb for LunarPages. They have been down only once during my 10 months with them. I can’t evaluate their tech support because I have not had to call them once. Also, they counted my payment to iPowerWeb as a payment to LunarPages, so I have not had to pay a second time for the remaining time left on my year with iPowerWeb. Cool. I hope iPowerWeb has indeed reformed. In my experience, they sucked.

iPowerWeb is a very good hosting provider but I mostly like ipage. They have a much user friendly interface and good technical support.
